Trendsetter Engineering, Inc. and subsidiary Trendsetter Vulcan Offshore (TVO) joined nearly 200 delegates and a score of exhibitors in Stavanger on October 15-16 for the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) International Well Control 2024 Conference & Exhibition. The Trendsetter/TVO stand featured spill response solutions, with experts on hand to discuss intervention systems and BOP tethering applications.
This year’s conference examined innovations that are shaping the future of well control, from technology to personnel competencies. In the technical sessions, 43 speakers tackled subjects including, human factors and how to minimize operations-related human errors, optimizing emergency preparedness and response, improving pore pressure prediction, examining how data is driving performance, managing well control challenges in CCS projects, the crucial role MPD plays in well control, and BOP technology advances.
The IADC promotes innovative technology and safe drilling practices, hosts events that focus on core industry issues, and serves as an advocate for oil and gas activities.
